Wednesday 22th of March

All of our systems and services are fully operational again. First of all, I would like to thank our employees, partners, new ICT partners, individual consultants, the NCSC and all who helped us to recover from the ransomware attack. People literally worked around the clock to fix the issues. You have done an amazing job!

Besides that, I would like to thank our customers for their patience in this matter. We know ROAM and Ship2Report, SPSS and PAX are critical systems for your operations. Your understanding and support really helped the team to stay motivated even during the most difficult times.

We are analysing the impact of the data breach together with our advisers and will contact in the coming days. We will publish a request for information form on our websites for all of your questions.

This blog will be closed now. You can check our system status page for regular maintenance and system issues.

Thursday 9th of March,

We are recovering from a cyberattack and working full speed on a solution. We are making good progress and testing the first applications internally. We have spoken to many of our customers and have established alternative procedures to get many of our customers going again.

Alternative for our Ship2Report services

For Ship2Report customers we offer Portcall Web (recently purchased from Port+) for the duration of the disruptions. This application has live vessel tracking, ISPS announcements, alerts etc with data for all ports in the ARA-region.

Other Contingency Services

  • Procedures with Safety & Security customers will soon return to normal.
  • We publish an overview of Rotterdam port movements, on our website every two hours. You can find the list here.
  • Our 24/7 control room has established alternative procedures and our customers can call them at any time for ETA / ETD information.
  • Together with the Rotterdam Port Police and Portbase we have established a PAX workaround process for shipping agents in Rotterdam
  • All Dirkwager office email services have been resolved and our employees can safely email again, using Office365.

If you like to start with one of these contingency services please contact dms@dirkzwager.com and we get you started.

If you need information about ship ETA’s or ETD’s you can call our regular 24/7 number: +31 10 59 31 600.

Timeline recovery

It’s difficult to give a timeline. We need more time for restoring and testing the servers and securing our environment. We will only go live if our subject matter experts feel confident that we can.
